Round 16: Just another bloody Ramble

It's close to 2am, the gf is tipsy and already comfortably occupying the whole bed to sleep in. Just got back from Heidelberg where the gf, myself and another friend had a light dinner and caught the breath-taking castle fireworks. After a nice warm shower and what seems like an eternity, I'm finally able to sit back and take a breather, and take some time to peck out a few lines for the next post on Hajime no Stan.

I gotta admit, it's bloody ironic that the frequency of my blogging is disproportional to the amount of free time I currently have at the moment.

Well, of course, having the gf with me is already a major factor - late mornings, joking in the showers, competing to see who can get better/younger scores on Brain Jogging on her Nintendo DS(we're still at it!), watching endless episodes of japanese anime, the occasional poker nights...etc etc.

But damm! I've got loads to blog about - our trip to Paris, getting our butts sore racing on go-karts, dueling with friends on Wii Sports(Wee! I'm no longer a Wii-virgin!) and of course the itty-bitty crumbs of everyday life.

I'm guessing you'll be expecting this post to be about my trip to Paris and all that, but I'm leaving it till the next.

Y'know, when a man have a lot of time on his hands, what does he do? I reckon he'll be doing alot of soul-searching. And that's kinda what I've been doing these days.

This summer's been rather chilly and for some reason, I don't fall straight to sleep despite being sleepy. So I just lie down, listen to her breathing and just let my mind wonder.

So many questions, to which I already have a probable answer. But then the same question always comes back to haunt: is your answer the right one?

Guess I may never find out.

PS: Happy Birthday Malaysia. 50 Years...you've come a long way. And a longer road awaits you. Awaits Us all.

Round 15: A Very Gay Sunday - Christopher's Street Day

WARNING: The following post is a photolog with photographs with parts of nudity, plastic penises and of very friendly homosexuals with erm...let's just say: pretty well-endowed packages. If you are easily offended by such content,
Please leave:D

Now, how would you imagine your typical German Sunday morning?

a) waking at 7am to accompany the sweet granny to sing german hymns at church?

b) rising at sunrise to jog a few rounds and break the sweat into a body workout?

c) sleeping in till past noon to compensate the hangover from the over-boozing and clubbing the previous night?

Well, whichever your scenario might turn out to be, last Sunday was certainly a rather special one, if you happened to be there.

It was the annual Christopher Street Day(CSD), parade, otherwise known as Gay Pride in other countries and Mannheim, where 400 years of gay and lesbian tolerance was to be celebrated, was certainly not left out either.

The gf and I had read about the parade in the papers the previous day. After a late brunch, we cycled to town to catch a glimpse of the parade. It was a first for us both, surprisingly for me too, despite having been so long in Germany.

The actual date of CSD is 27.June(a Wednesday), but tja, its not surprising that people would only find time on a weekend to attend such parade.

Like other stereotypes, I guess discrimination will always exist. That's prolly why the police made an effort to get all dolled up and even came out on horses!

Getting warmed up....

The first of the floats!

An very Interesting Couple...

Gay Bikers!

Members of Mr Bayern!

Even a drag queen came along for some whistles!

A shot of Kayo and I at the parade

It was only during this parade, that I came to realise, different categories exist for...erm gays.

You have the classic gay guy, inside the float with the drink:

Ladies, check out that ass!

then you come across the Pensioner, hippy in his own way and still so energetic..

There are even fat gays...*tries not to burst out laughing*

and of course, the hot hunks...hahaha

I now wonder how many women did I made cry today...LOL

All in all, it was certainly an eye-opener. And definitely one for the memories for this summer.

That's about it for now. Go ahead and scroll down to enjoy more interesting shots from the parade! ;)

No Discrimination - for big penises too!

Gay Pimpin'!!

Round 14: Coming Soon...

Whaaa...Been ages since the last entry on this site. Haha, yes I've been MIA on blogspot but still very much alive and kicking - just...not online:P lol but more on that later.

Being a member of the the Christien New Community blogging for charity, I've received my first assignment a few weeks ago (hai hai deadline is already due I know >_<) from Sae Wei - to blog about my life in Germany. Which...encompasses, like alot of aspects.

So I hit on the idea of doing a photolog series - (almost!) everything about Mannheim, that I can find.

The first part will be descriptions of important locations and main landmarks about the town, things a tourist might be interested in.

The second part will entail budget eateries and decent restaurants, where, in my opinion, every bite is worth its euro.

After all that sight-seeing and tummy -stuffing, the next thing in order would be clubbing:) Although it's been a while since I've really partied, there are still a few of my favourite lounges and clubs where the DJs just know how to make Stan a happy Man:)

And for the fourth part of the series, I shall ....not reveal what I shall blog about. Oh no, I do already have a theme in mind. But keeping it under wraps only makes it more enticing, doesn't it?

C'mon, say you feel the suspense already!!

Well then...stay tuned!
